For the Last Time

Since graduating I've been pretty elusive about my life plans. Partly because I wasn't entirely sure what the hell I was doing myself, but also because I'm somewhat paranoid and didn't want to jinx my plans by sharing them with the world.

Leftover Leek and Potato Cakes

Leftover leek and potato cakes
I really hate wasting food and this month, especially in the lead up to pay day, I've been making a conscious effort to be more resourceful.

August Goals

It's been a while since I last shared a goal post, but it's something I'm determined to get back in the habit of.

Herb Crusted Roast Rack of Lamb

I absolutely love cooking and have done since I was a little girl. I vividly remember being seven years old and delighted to finally posses my own Winnie the Pooh cook book. Now at the ripe old age of 21 I find it just as exciting, if not more so as I can lick the spoon without fear of being shouted at.

Graduation Photo Diary

On Wednesday the 15th of July I graduated with a First Class Honours in Media from Robert Gordon University. I spent the day giggling between (and during) glasses of wine, celebrating the past four years of my life with some of the people who contributed to making it so memorable.

After two days of much needed recovery I gathered with some of my classmates to celebrate once more at our graduation ball. Captured below are some of my favourite moments from both events:

When Quitting Isn't Quitting

In my last post I mentioned that I had taken some time out of blogging for a few reasons. Namely, university and actually wanting to leave with a degree.

The Blogging Lie

Regular readers of this blog may have noticed a serious lack of posts as of recent. In fact, I think this is the longest I've gone without blogging since I started two and a half years ago! There are two reasons for this.

7 Things Nobody Tells You About Blogging

In the two and half years since I started blogging I've learnt more than I could have ever anticipated. There have been ups and inevitably downs (thankfully not too many), but I'm proud to say I think I've come a long way. In fact looking back at my old posts I regularly get the urge to remove myself from the Internet. Still, it's all a learning curve and I honestly wouldn't have it any other way.

Learning about blogging has been somewhat of a self induced process. There is no one size fits all manual that tells you everything you need to know and consequently you find yourself up at four in the morning trying to work out how to code one tiny section. So along with that here are seven more of the things I've learned that nobody tells you about blogging.

February Goals

February goals
At the risk of creating several resolutions I'd desperately vow to keep but never visit again, I opted to forego January goals. However now that the festive madness is officially over I can go back to being all organised and motivated.

I've mentioned in my posts before that I think it's healthy to create goals to work towards. As someone who is motivated by a sense of achievement, I especially find setting short term goals really works for me. Whether it be silly Christmas goals like watching Home Alone, or more serious ones like not completely losing the will to live during my final semester at uni.

The Wanderlust Tag

My first tag of the year yay! I pinched this from Danielle. I have a habit of never actually getting tagged to do these things and just inviting myself to the party and doing it anyway. If you've been following my travel diary posts you'll know that this kind of thing is right up my alley and if not... well you'll just have to take my word for it.

A Letter to My First Year Self

Dear Young Efia (and no it's not patronising for me to call you this as I am you in the future),

You are about to embark on the four craziest years of your life so far. Possibly ever. During your first few weeks in Aberdeen you will despise the place with every fibre of your being, but it will grow on you. Believe it or not one day you will start referring to this grey city as home.
