Skeleton Halloween Make Up

Skeleton Halloween make up
Seeing as it's been a while since my last beauty post I thought I'd show you all my skeleton Halloween make up look! Halloween is probably my favourite holiday as I absolutely love to dress up, but I have to admit I left costumes etc really late this year.
Going on the fact that I had pretty much no time to buy anything and didn't want to spend a lot of money... this is what I came up with. I've seen a couple of people do the half skeleton Halloween make up and I really love it. It's creepy, but then you're still able to recognise yourself in the mirror. And as an added bonus it only takes half as long to do (see what I did there?)

In terms of product I didn't want to buy loads of new things so just used make-up I already had. For my base layer I used Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer and Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation, I actually can't remember the colour but it was several shades lighter than my skin tone. Then for the detailing I used my Maybelline Lasting Drama Gel Liner in Blackest Black, and Blackout from the Urban Decay Smoked Palette for the black bits and MUA Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil in Snow White and Innocence and Gullible from the Sleek Bad Girl palette for the white bits, which I loved because there was a nice shimmer to them.

I did actually buy some white face paint, but ended up not using it as I was concerned it was a bit heavy for my face. If you're interested in creating a similar look I got my face inspiration from Nouvelle Daily and body inspiration from good old Pinterest! I still need to work on getting the ribs right (it is verging a little on zebra print!) and I'll probably go a bit darker on the neutral side too, but other than that I'm really happy with my skeleton Halloween make up this year!

What about you guys? What are your plans for Halloween make up? Or better yet, can you show me? Let me know!
